After absorbing both Isao and Numbers Weapon 2, Kaiju No. 9 gains the terrible might of Kaiju No. 2. Narumi and Kafka barely manage to corner him, but he escapes at the last second. With news of Isao’s death, all of Japan is plunged into deep mourning and fear for the future. While Narumi and Kikoru’s resolve to fight is renewed, Kafka is forced to face the price that comes with his power.
